I'm joining the Air Force. It's been finalized. I have to lose some weight of course because I have to have some sort of obstecle in my way at all times. But it's not that bad, I'm working out in a gym and the track so I should be ready by August, maybe even before. I have already told both my parents and they switched roles on me. My father, who is Navy retired and who I thought would be the more supportive parent, is absolutely pissed about it. He doesn't want me to go. He's worried about Iraq and everything. My mother, who should've just stayed in her role as the parent who holds me back and/or keeps me down, actually said that they have to be supportive because I was gonna do it anyway (which is true). I think, however, that she's hoping I don't make it and then she can go back to bitching at me to go to college and get my B.A. I am not gonna let myself fail out of this because I don't think I could live with it if I had to come back to this house with my tail between my legs....
